Join camp Director, Ronnie Scullion for a week of high-tech creativity! Learn the fundamentals of Video Game Design and Stop Motion Animation and how to incorporate these technologies into existing school curriculum.
“Twenty-first century children communicate in new ‘digital’ ways,” says Artech Director Ronnie Scullion. “And with these new technologies comes possibilities of new forms of creative expression.
“Traditionally in schools there has been a great divide separating the Arts from Technology. A new Renaissance is upon us. Digital entertainment is taking us all into new realms of imagination, fantasy and reality.
“For the child of 50 years ago his world expanded when taught to read and write. Reading enabled children (and still does) to explore different people, philosophies and cultures. Writing enabled them to write their own stories and express themselves.
“Today’s child also wants to create her own stories, craft her own films or movies, and design her own video games. With a little bit of technical guidance and the proper equipment young children can do this!”
