LOCATION: Shambhala School in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Shambhala School is located at 5450 Russell Street. There is ample parking on Russell street for morning drop-offs and after noon pick-ups. Early drop-off between 8:30 and 9:00 am – no extra charge, Extended Day Option Available – see below.

Digital Dragons & Castles! Adventures in Technology & Art ages 6-10

This camp is intended for teenagers who have already gained some skills in animation, robotics and or video game design. During the week they will have a chance to gain leadership skills. This includes planning and program development, safety in the playground and other relevant topics. For part of the week they will get to work with younger campers.

Following the Leader in Training program participants will be eligible to volunteer in Artech Camps.

Space Pirates! VIDEO GAME DESIGN ages 6-10

Yo-ho-ho Mateys!! – we’re rocketing off in search of digital treasures and swashbucklin’ adventure!” Create fantastic games! You create the characters and the monsters. You decide who goes to Davy Jones’ locker and who gets rewarded with treasures! Disembark at week’s end with two games, Matey! Arghhhhh!

You have always dreamed of being a star! This is your chance. Through the week we will put together an amazing story combining live action and animation. Please turn off your cell phones… our feature production is about to begin! Campers will receive a DVD copy of the finished movie to take home and show to friends and family.

RPG Game Design VIDEO GAME DESIGN ages 9-14

Create a unique, fantasy world with quests, monsters and battles. Role Playing Games are a specialized area of Video Game Design. Bring your story, character and quest ideas – we’ll make it happen! [RPG Gamemaker XP instruction]

Digital Dinosaurs! Adventures in Technology & Art ages 6-10

Aug 7-10th daily 9am-4pm

Imagine travelling back in time to visit the age of dinosaurs and and bringing our state-of-the-art computers and digital cameras! The results will be Dinomite! Instruction in Animation, Video Game Design and Digital Expressions (Graphic Design) PLUS ROBOTICS!!!

NEW Features! Time Travel VIDEO GAME DESIGN Ages 9-14

Aug 7-10th  daily 9am-4pm

Create a multi-level adventure game. Travel through time: back to age of dinosaurs! Or into the Future! You create the characters, the creatures, the story! Ideal for new and returning campers – we’ll be adding some crazy new features! By end of week you will have two exciting video games to take home and play with friends!

Extended Day Option is available each week

Daily from 4 pm to 5 pm. Add the extended day option and your child will be looked after until 5 pm. Cost is $40 + hst and half -price for siblings

T-SHIRTS: Campers will receive ONE FREE t-shirt for the the first camp registered in the summer season! Registrations must be made prior to May 31st. For registrations after May 31st we cannot guarantee that your child will receive a t-shirt or one that is the correct size.

$35 Early Registration Discount – our best discount! Register before December 25th! Calculated automatically.
$15 Multiple Week Discount – This discount will be calculated automatically when you register a camper for more than one session. Cannot be combined with Early Registration discount
$10 Sibling Discount – After registering and paying for one camper you will be taken to a page which will give you a special CODE to enter if you would like to register another child from the same family. Enter the promotional code at the bottom of the registration page when you register the 2nd child. Plus HALF PRICE for Siblings for extended care!
$25 Host School Student Discount – If you are currently registering a camper from our host school you can receive a special discount. Cannot be combined with Early Registration discount. Ask at your school office for the special code to enter! Enter the promotional code at the bottom of the registration page.
