CBC Showing Student’s Film
Bridgewater Bulletin and Lunenburg Progress Enterprise, Wednesday, November 22, 2006
“Halloween!” — a short Claymation movie produced by a group of students attending Artech Studios’ after school creative technology classes will air on national TV! CBC will air the short film on Saturday, November 25th, between 9:30 and 12 noon as part of their“Students are taking over the CBC!” program. The group of students in grades 4, 5 and 6 collaborated on the project creating an assortment of spooky Halloween characters out of modeling clay. They used stop motion animation
techniques, assembling a series of photographs which when played back give the illusion of motion. The story follows the adventures and misadventures of a Serpent, Black Cat and Ghost as they go door-to-door Trick-or-Treating.
Working on the project were Alex Abriel, Callum Huyer, Jordan Fraelick, and Olivia Adams and Sage McConnell. Their Claymation movie can also be seen online at the Artech web site.
