Students’ Film Named Best of the Year
From The Chronicle Herald, Section: Spotlight — The TATTLER, Thursday December 13th 2007

Recent graduates from the South Shore Alternate High School in Bridgewater did something pretty cool with a hot topic. Dylan Veinot, Deneka Crouse and Katie Fingley’s animated film The Arctic Polar Bears and Global Warming has been selected as best of the year by the television program “The Outlet”.
The film can be seen on Saturday at 11:25 a.m. on CBC. Students and staff at the school received an Arts Smarts Project grant to bring in artist Ronnie Scullion, owner of Artech Studios, to guide a Claymation animation project. The students explored the art of stop motion animation using clay and mixed media to create characters and backgrounds. An Internet version of the film can be viewed at the Artech Website by following the links to the Claymation Theatre in the Galleries Section.
